How to record a refill

Overview

Recording a refill helps the Gecko app keep your water care recommendations accurate. Each time you drain and refill your spa (fully or partially), you should log it so the app can reset your water tracking and adjust its guidance.

Record a refill

  1. Open the Gecko app.

  2. Go to the Water section.

  3. Scroll down to the Drain and Refill card.

  4. Tap Record a refill.

Select your last refill

Choose when you last drained and refilled your spa:

  • Within the last week

  • Within the last month

  • Between 1 and 2 months ago

  • Between 2 and 3 months ago

  • Between 3 and 6 months ago

  • More than 6 months ago

Tap to confirm your selection.

View your refill status

Once recorded, the Water page will show:

  • Last – When your last refill was recorded

  • Recommended – When your next refill is suggested

This helps you stay on track with your water maintenance.

Why this matters

Recording a refill allows the app to:

  • Reset your water chemistry tracking

  • Provide more accurate dosing recommendations

  • Improve overall water balance guidance

Tips

💡 Tip: Even if you only partially drained your spa, it’s still helpful to record it.
